Formation of SCCS

In 1999, a group of parents of children with cancer met formally to discover ways in which they could help each other and their children.Protem committee was formed on 26th September1999 with the initial group of parents of cancer children

Our Mission …

To provide relief and care to children with cancer and their families as well as public education in the prevention, control, diagnosis andtreatment of children cancer

The role of SCCS is simple…

• We are families helping families-A Charity with a heart and understanding
• Working to support others through a very traumatic and life threatening time of their lives.

Our Services

1. Support Group-To provides emotional and moral support through member’s experience-sharing sessions, informal friendship and chatgroup Basic
2. Financial Aids-To render financial assistance to needy patients and their families
3. Recreation-Recreational activities aims to provide relaxation e.g fun outings, camps
4. Education-Conferences, workshop and educationalmaterials available to the general public to create
5. Public awareness
6. Publicity
7. Extension

Location

Children Cancer Centre, about 2 minutes’ walk from the Sarawak General Hospital, was established, operated and run by SCCS.
