INDIAN ROJAK MEE

Stall No. 1, Rojak Kucei – Batu Lintang Food Stalls

547a2_rojak_kuceiLocated at Batu Lintang, Rojak Kucei is a shop specialising in indian rojak; commonly known as Rojak and Rojak Mee(indian rojak served with noodles). The owner of the shop is a Muslim Indian commonly known as Hassan by regular customers and friends.

Be it a weekend or a weekday, the place is always 80% full, unless when they run out of their ingredients. The operating hours is normally around 6am till late morning or sometimes before noon. Make sure you go early as normally sell out by late morning.

On weekdays, the place will be packed by mostly government officials taking their break at the shop and having brunch at the same time. The Rojak and Rojak Mee are dishes adored by not only Indians, but also by Malays and even Chinese.

Rojak Mee – which consists noodles, bean sprout, special fried chicken, special rojak sauce made of sweet potato and “indian rojak cake”

Indian Rojak cake – This is the most important ingredient, which created the dish the Indian Rojak, it is a type of fried cake stuffed with long beans and other vegetables.

When we arrived at about 8.15am, the crowd was just building up. By 8.45pm all the tables in front of the shop were fully occupied and there were a few groups of people waiting for tables too.
