NGO MI TENG (五味汤)

Do you know what is called “NGO MI TENG”?? If translated to English, it is “5 tastes soup”. It is a sweet local dessert, which can be taken lukewarm or icy cold. Normally in this colorful dessert you will find more than 5 different ingredients, such as Jelly, red dates, lily seeds, dried persimmons, barley, white fungus, orange peel and many more. If you don’t eat some of the stuff, just ask the owner not to add it, they are happy to do so.
The Shop is located at Song Kheng Hai Hawker Centre, open daily from 11am to 7 or 8pm depending on the owners and also the validity of the ingredients to produce the dessert. It is a very refreshing dessert to have during hot afternoons. Especially on Sundays.
